The Journey North
Lions Gate Bridge: Depart Vancouver by crossing this historic 1938 suspension bridge, offering stunning views of the Burrard Inlet and West Vancouver.
Barrett’s View: A quick detour up Cypress Bowl Road to this lookout (named after former Premier Dave Barrett) for the best panoramic view of Vancouver’s skyline, the bridge, and the harbor.
Porteau Cove Provincial Park (Optional quick look): A beautiful waterfront spot on Howe Sound, though we will stop here longer on the way back for the sunset/rest.
Shannon Falls: Stop at BC’s third-highest waterfall. A short, easy walk leads to the base of the roaring 335-meter falls.
Squamish Village Coffee Break at Cafe Garibaldi: Head into the heart of Squamish for a local caffeine fix.
Sea to Sky Gondola (Optional Stop): If you have time, take this 10-minute ride to the summit for the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge and incredible views of Howe Sound.
Into the Mountains
Tantalus View Point: A "must-stop" highway pullout. It offers a majestic view of the Tantalus Range glaciers—perfect for a quick photo.
Brandywine Falls: A spectacular 70-meter waterfall that plunges into a daisy-shaped lake. The walk from the parking lot is a flat, 10-15 minute forest trail.
Whistler Village: * Lunch: Enjoy a meal at one of the many patios.
Promenade: Walk the pedestrian-only Village Stroll, exploring the artisan shops, Olympic Plaza, and high-end boutiques.
The Alpine Experience
Peak 2 Peak Gondola (Optional): This world-record-breaking lift connects Whistler and Blackcomb mountains.
